Tackers aged 7-12 years spend time on the water to gain confidence and learn sailing skills through fun games and activities at our club!
Tackers is an Australian Sailing accredited course introducing young kids to sailing small boats through activities and games on the water. Our qualified instructors will work with each participant taking into consideration their skill level and needs, and introduce them to sailing. The program covers skills and knowledge such as safety on the water, understanding the wind, boating terminology, how sailboats work, launching, steering, sailing a short course, and so much more! Tackers is based around having fun and encouraging kids to learn new things, all while spending time with friends.

This course aims to provide children aged 7-12 with a fun, safe and affordable way to get into sailing.
Course fee: $350
Optimist Squad After school
This course is designed for participants who wish to have fun and learn the basics of racing through games on and off the water, but also specifically work on sailing better.
Prerequisites: Water confidence, Tackers 3 certificate or coach’s evaluation of equivalent experience.
Course fee: $490
Optimist Squad Weekend
