Sign the kids up for one of our School Holiday Programs, run out of Learn to Sail Discover Sailing Centre in St Kilda, Melbourne

For children 7 – 12 years of age we operate a ‘Tackers’ program, the Holiday Program spans all 3 levels of the ‘Tackers’ program.

OutThere is designed specifically for teens aged 8–17 to learn sailing skills & have fun on the water with friends!

Combination days are also available for families with children of different ages

This program is delivered over 5 days 9am – 1pm.
Courses start 18 September and 25 September

Tackers is an Australian Sailing accredited course introducing young kids to sailing small boats through activities and games on the water. Our qualified instructors will work with each participant taking into consideration their skill level and needs, and introduce them to sailing. The program covers skills and knowledge such as safety on the water, understanding the wind, boating terminology, how sailboats work, launching, steering, sailing a short course, and so much more! Tackers is based around having fun and encouraging kids to learn new things, all while spending time with friends.

The OutThere Sailing program is a perfect way to engage teens outside of their already busy lives! Balancing school, driving lessons and for some part-time work can make for a busy schedule. OutThere Sailing is designed to encourage teens to be active, socialise with friends and meet new people in an exciting environment. Our accredited sailing and powerboat instructors will introduce skills on the water in a fresh way. The program is based around fun activities, teens will walk away with invaluable sailing and boating skills. Our club boasts a dinghy fleet, a keelboat fleet and different types of powerboats all of which our participants will learn about. OutThere is an Australian Sailing accredited course designed to keep teens curious about on water sports and activities and giving them a taste for club-based networking.

No sailing experience is required!

This program is delivered over 5 days 9am – 4pm.
