Description: Silver water jug 290 mm high to lip edge with annular ring about mid-section, and simple curved two-section handle. Mounted on 60mm high rosewood base with silver winners’ inscription band around diameter.

THE SQUADRON TROPHY
FIRST PRESENTED IN 1994
History:

Presented by Club Captain Tom Raft, 1994 for a Combined Clubs long distance race. First won season 1993-94 by Ron De Forrest with Three Penny Opera.

Originally the trophy was implemented for VYC Division 2 performance handicap for performance in a long race.

In 2007 the Squadron Trophy was confirmed as the overall YV PH Division 1, 2 and 3 winner, open to all clubs for a long race (40nm plus). Later amended to be a part of Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club’s Port Phillip Sea Pilots event. It is to be included as part of the Squadron’s aggregate.
