If you’ve complained that it took more time to prepare your boat than sail in the race, we’ve thought up something you might like to try.

In our non aggregate weekend spinnaker races, we’ve amended our Summer NOR, and SI’s so you can elect to compete in an additional race immediately upon crossing the finishing line.

Briefly:

  1. Only yachts with a PHS greater than 0.84 can compete in this division
  2. Boats will only compete on PHS handicap for the additional lap.
  3. The additional race will be a timed lap from the boat’s completion of the first race to the completion of the additional race.
  4. The additional race will be scored separately from the first race and will not alter a boat’s handicap.
  5. Boats competing in the additional race must notify Squadron Tower on VHF 72 within 5 minutes of completing the first race.
  6. The additional race is only open to boats that have completed the first race of the day.
  7. There will be no starting signals or recalls for the additional race. This changes RRS 26.;
  8. If finishing in:
    1. a southerly direction, Squadron Divisional Division 1 boats shall sail additional legs A(S)-B(S)-C(S)-D(S)-Finish.
    2. a northerly direction, Squadron Divisional Division 1 boats shall sail additional legs A(P)-C(P)-B(P)-E(P) Finish.
