This course combines the skills taught under the Start Powerboating course with more advanced skills, especially in confined areas such as marinas and in swell and waves.
You will also learn more about engines and types of craft and chart navigation.
The AS Powerboat Handlers Course is nationally recognised and is seen to be the industry standard boating course for sailing instructors, coaches and club volunteers. We also have a number of boat owners and their families whom have undertaken the course, as it recognised for licencing as well as providing hands – on boating training with nationally accredited powerboat instructors in a safe environment.
This course will also help prepare you with the knowledge required for obtaining your theory only boat licence from VicRoads. If you have your boat licence already, there still will be plenty for you to learn including how to handle a powerboat safely.
