We would like to congratulate member, Nadine Tabak for being selected as a Magenta Project nominee. The Magenta Project is a UK-registered charity that aims to be the worldwide organisation that ensures sailing is a more equitable and inclusive sport, leading with gender.

Their annual mentoring programme matches women from around the world with a mentor in sailing. Nadine has been partnered with Sharon Ferris Choat, the current skipper of Maiden, the first woman to be a part of a team to win a round the world race, a world distance record breaker and the first woman to skipper a GC32 team.

“I am so thankful for and awed by the many opportunities I have been given, the impacts I have been able to make, the continual support I have been offered, and the people I have shared this journey with since I started sailing three short years ago. This incredible next step is already beginning to open doors I never knew existed. I look forward to sharing with my RMYS families the many opportunities this new path allows me to explore.” says Nadine.

Only 20 mentees are selected from around the world. Nadine will be formally announced on the Magenta Project website in due time. We take great pleasure in announcing and congratulating her on this incredible achievement!
