The Clubhouse
The Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron clubhouse is spectacularly located in cosmopolitan St Kilda with magnificent views over Port Phillip.
Major investment in the clubhouse means the facilities are as good as you will find anywhere. The aim is to provide members with a home away from home and some find the setting and ambience so appealing they are loathe to leave at the end of the day!
The Harbour Room

Olympic Bar
Enjoy casual dining in the Olympic Bar where sailors meet prior to and after racing. It’s a great chance to meet friends old and new. In the Olympic Bar you can browse the fascinating Squadron and Olympic memorabilia. Among the items on display is the leaderboard for all the events that took place on Port Phillip in the 1956 Games.
The Food & Desire caterers at RMYS are held in very high regard, with a fantastic daily snack menu on offer as well as substantial lunches and dinners available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Committee Room
The Committee Room sits just off the Olympic Bar and can be hired for private lunches, celebrations, dinners, cocktail parties and meetings. Our Members get access to booking these rooms by calling the office. For external bookings, please visit our Venue Hire page.
