History:

Donated by Club member R.W. (Dick) Lean, June 28, 1971 for a combined Clubs round the bay event. First contested April 1, 1972 and won by Lysle Turnbull with Halcyon II.

By April 1979, for reason the event was not being well supported, it was changed to a successful open club event using a combined division result based on V.Y.C. handicapping system.
