Greg Patten wins 2020 Melbourne to Osaka virtual race
After almost 20 days of virtual sailing Greg Patten has won the 2020 Melbourne to Osaka virtual race hosted by Sail Online. Greg was one of 18 RMYS members who competed against 229 entrants in the race.

RMYS received news of Vicki Wright, former employee who started contracting work at the Squadron back in 2004 has sadly passed away. Vicki was an accountant for many years and has been described by fellow members a very conscientious and hard working with a great sense of humour. Sincere deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vicki.

She was built in Port Fairy in 1914. We believe at the time by well known wooden boat Builder Stan Evans. She is 28 feet long and has a 6 foot bow sprit. Meeka is not a Couta boat more over is a coastal fishing boat. The same length as many Couta boats however has a …

Last week David Hodge, RMYS’s representative on the St Kilda Pier Stakeholder Reference Group introduced a brief presentation by Parks Victoria from Project Officer Nick Jansen and Jo Richards, Regional Director Melbourne Marine and Maritime.
