New Year’s Eve arrived without the usual fanfare and fireworks, however, from all reports, the New Year’s Eve Marina party was a great success.
|
Looking back, while we encountered some challenges in 2020, we also made lots of progress. Over 20 resolutions were passed by the new General Committee since coming together in August.

Twilight Racing Wednesday 13th - Important Information

Start Box on the Tower. We have made some initial modifications to try and improve the visibility, initial testing has been good and the changes have been effective. This year due to the Festival of Sail not going ahead we are running the Agar Wynne Trophy race in a different manner. This year the race will be Portarlington and Return. Primo
|
A 36.7 Beneteau First ‘Primo’ has arrived at RMYS from Sandringham after being purchased by new club members David and Beverley Prest. Primo was previously owned by Steve and Heather Copley, who enjoyed a proud racing history at Sandringham over the past 15 years. Primo is now berthed on D finger and will soon participate in cruising and racing with RMYS. David has recently returned to Melbourne after ten years in Papua New Guinea, where he was an enthusiastic member of Royal Papua Yacht Club. David and Beverley look forward to the sailing and social opportunities that lie ahead with RMYS.

It’s the first New Members Night and it is Pasta Night. I am looking forward to see so many new faces in the Olympic bar. Seats are limited so this would be a good one to book for.
