The Training Academy at RMYS has announced dates for upcoming Marine Radio courses at RMYS with the next course starting Tuesday 28 July at 1900 hours. Marine radio training is highly recommended for all yacht crew and power boaters to increase the safety of your boat in an emergency, find out the latest weather report and communicate with other boats in the vicinity. Our Marine Radio course options include VHF two-night course, suitable for inshore yachting and powerboating and the MROCP course over three nights, suitable for offshore long range HF radio + VHF use. Once achieved these marine radio qualifications are lifelong and are also recognised overseas, plus you will need qualifications if you seek an MMSI for your vessel from AMSA.
Our marine radio training involves hands-on teaching, practising you in what you need to know to be a good marine radio operator and students use our fully operational VHF and HF training marine radios located in the Academy. Your course fees start from $255 and include the exam/licence, an official marine radio handbook and all training materials. For more information please review the Marine Radio course overview and booking form or contact Leigh Brennan-Smith, Training Manager on 9534 0059, mobile: 0412 196301 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
