RMYS is hosting Club Race Officer training.

The Club Race Officer seminar aims to educate members on the basics of conducting consistent, fair and safe club racing.

This course is free and without obligation.

*NEW* Club Fridays: Games Night - Friday 1 July 2022 1900 hrs.

BYO Game Night
Forget about the new financial year and immerse yourself in GAMES! Bring your chess, scrabble, draughts, monopoly board; cards, Euchre, Uno – whatever. Bring your team or find an opponent and see who reigns supreme!

Cheating will be ignored, and prizes awarded for best sportspersonship (!), most fun table, most successful game and more! Lots of laughs guaranteed.

Live Piano this Wednesday before racing!

Come to the club this Wednesday before racing to listen to our Ashley Shoup play our piano.

We're hoping to use this beautiful piece of equipment more often. If you play the ivories, let us know!

Recycle your PFDs at the RMYS Office to turn them into bags with Life Bags

Life Bags
Our very own Chris Harve is doing his bit to help the planet by recycling your PFDs into bags. The bags are sold and profits are donated to Volunteer Marine Rescue. This circular system is a great idea to help the planet and those who rescue us out on the water!

Drop off your obsolete PFDs to the office.

While the whole race four fleet were part of the display of classic yachting on Port Phillip, it was the display by Acrospire III of classic yachting at its best for the fleet starting 40 mins late and coming in first place
Classic Race 5 will be held at RMYS. They need a support boat volunteer. Contact Peter Costolloe to help out.

Squadron Awards nominations close Friday, 15 July

The Australian Sailing Awards Nominations are now open, and we commence the process with the Squadron Awards for sailing and non-sailing.

Nominations close Friday, 15 July. Winners of the Squadron Awards will be nominated to be judged for Australian Sailing state awards, with the state winners being put forward as nominees for the national awards.

Grant comes from Canberra sailing and racing on Lake Burley Griffin. In 2018 he bought a 25ft trailable sports boat "Seventeen", named after his teenage years and his time playing VFL, as it was his playing number.
