COVID-19 on water restrictions
After discussions with Marine Safety Victoria, Australian Sailing has revised it’s interpretation of keelboat sailing. The relevant point is now:
“You can go sailing recreationally (not organised club racing) in a keel boat with up to 10 people as long as you keep the 1.5mtr distancing if they do not live with you”
To comply with the legislation and to protect individual health, each crew will need to manage the 1.5m requirement which must be maintained. For most RMYS boats that will mean maximum on board 2 – 4.
