Fridays continue in the Olympic Bar, 13th September with JimmyRum Distillery, who operate a craft rum distillery on the Mornington Peninsula. They also import small batch Barbados rum. They were one of the sponsors for AWKR and would like to introduce RMYS to their premium product with a free tasting and talk about the distilling process and the finer aspects of small batch and craft rums.

RMYS Opening Day - Saturday 5th October

Season Opening Day and Sail Past
The Summer season will open on Saturday 5th October.
Boon Wurrung, the traditional people and custodians of this coastline, to conduct a smoking ceremony at the Squadron through one of their Elders at 1145hrs.

After the smoking ceremony those who have booked lunch will proceed to the harbour room for a 2 course lunch, followed by the presentation to the 2019 Club Member of the Year. Then unfurling of the burgee will commence to officially declare the season open and for members to welcome year 144!

Afterwards the traditional sail past will commence on water followed by live music and drinks in the Olympic Bar throughout the evening.

The YA Powerboat Handlers Course is also recognised nationally by educational institutions & community organisations as the industry standard for boating courses.
