At long last, RMYS is back open for Friday Night Dinner on this Friday 29th October! We are excited to be welcoming you back to the club with the below Friday Night Menu:


  • Wagyu beef burger, lettuce, tomato, pickles, American cheese, burger sauce, chips. $22
  • Fish and prawn, laksa, cucumber, chilli and Asian herbs. $22
  • Chicken Parma - chicken schnitzel, tomato sugo, mozzarella, chips, garden salad. $24
  • Harrisa roasted cauliflower, whipped tahini, sunflower and wattleseed dukkah, pickled cucumber. $19

Please note that it is a government requirement that all patrons entering the venue must be fully vaccinated. Indoor capacity limits may also apply.

Skippers Briefing 27th October

If you plan to race during the Summer 21/22 season we encourage you to come to the zoom session tomorrow night. There are still a few places left.

Starts at 6 pm and will run for about an hour. Registration closes at 10 am tomorrow and you will be sent the zoom link later in the day.

We will be looking at NOR, Race entry, MemberPoint, Safety Compliance, Courses, and more.

GenOA Committee Update

As the club is now open for fully vaccinated patrons to enter the venue, the GenOA Comittee Meeting will be held on this Friday 29th of October at RMYS! This meeting will be held in person, however Zoom viewing is available if required.

Also, registrations are now open for the Start of Summer Sailing White Party on the Pier!

This party will be held on Saturday, December 4th 2021 and is hosted by the RMYS GenOA Committee. Invite your friends from other Sailing Clubs and those who are new to sailing - just bring a mostly white outfit and a smile!

Tenacity - New Catamaran Yacht at RMYS

Scott Trevethan joined RMYS in October and he is the boat owner of Tenacity, a Catamaran currently in Pen C01.

Tenacity is a Crowther designed pocket cruiser. Built and launched in 1982, she started her life sailing around PNG where her owners lived before moving to South Australia and then onto the Whitsundays where she was set up as one of the earlier charter boats.
