YVONNE - A Small Syndicate, Hands On Restoration
Our friends at Southern Woodenboat Sailing have put together a marvellous story on the restoration of the Yvonne 97 tumlaren.
Chris Clapp, Roger Dundas and Ant Perri discuss the restoration of Port Phillip’s famous tumlaren. And like so many of the best wooden boat stories, it’s not really about the craft, it’s more about the people, the friendships and the philosophies embedded into the project.

Bushido is composite construction with 3 layer kevlar sheath, Built when they did not know how strong that was. This means no osmosis and almost bullet proof. Anti-foul, hull polish, prop speed and engine service August 2021 plus usual maintenance.
Excellent club day sailer with wide, non slip decks. Original flat out racer interior revised with 1 x ¾ berth and 3 singles for overnight or more. 4 x pipe berths included but not fitted. We’ve had over 15 years of fun, won lot’s of ‘Best Start’ and ‘Tonner’ bottles of wine, many race placings including Geelong week. Bushido delivers in all conditions – if you know the secrets!
