This Friday 17th September, make sure you’re free to learn about online sailing and the “Secrets to winning Online Races” with none other than the master of online inshore and offshore sailing (and the wet stuff), Greg Patten!

When there’s little else to do that’s associated with sailing, where better to go and what better to do than a virtual regatta or a Bermuda Triangle race? Check out the web-sites before you get on board on Friday.

AND meet some new GC members for a chat.

Women in Sports Broadcasting Program - Change Our Game

unnamed
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
Applications are now open for the first round of the 2021-22 Change Our Game Women in Sports Broadcasting Program.

Following a successful pilot program, the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation is partnering with experienced broadcasters Emma Race and Lucy Race from Making the Call to support women interested in sports media and broadcasting.

This round of the Program will focus on enhancing broadcasting skills such as research and preparation, calling play-by-play, delivering courtside/ground updates, opinion pieces, and how to secure employment in the industry. Participants will be provided with individualised support, tailored to their own ambitions and areas of development.

This is a truly unique opportunity for women building experience in the field to get the knowledge and skills to progress their career, with graduates of the pilot program and other eligible candidates with exceptional relevant experience encouraged to apply.

A second round of the Program will be offered in late 2021-22 for women seeking to take their first steps into the sports broadcasting industry.

Applications for this round will close at 5pm on Wednesday 20 September 2021.
Information on other programs will be released in the coming weeks, so make sure to keep an eye out for the best fit for your needs and ambitions.
