Australia celebrated fantastic success in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, including in sailing, rowing and swimming. What’s it like to compete at an elite level sporting competition; what contributed to Australia’s success in Tokyo; what about involvement in sports administration; and more.

Margot has a distinguished background as an Olympian. She won a bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and a gold medal at the 1986 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in rowing. In 2015, Margot became a Member of the Order of Australia for her significant contribution to sports administration and governance, as an elite athlete and for her support for women’s sport.
