Marina Ladders
|
14 (2 per Arm) emergency ladders have been installed in the marina, to assist Members in getting out of the water should they accidentally fall in. It is the intention to install many more.
|
The ladders are telescopic and will remain out of the water when not in use. There is a Velcro strap that holds the rungs telescoped. To use, peel the Velcro strap, then use the adjacent cleats to help you climb out of the water.

If you would like one of these installed near your berth for any particular reason, please let Damien know as more will be installed when we are able to get supplies.

The recreational Boating Group are still looking forward to running their next event on the 15th of August. Australia is celebrating fantastic success in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, including in sailing, rowing and swimming.
|
Come and join the Q&A with Margot and hear all about what its like to compete at an elite level sporting competition. Margot has a distinguished background as an Olympian. She won a bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and a gold medal at the 1986 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in rowing. In 2015, Margot became a Member of the Order of Australia for her significant contribution to sports administration and governance; as an elite athlete and for her support for women’s sport. In 2011, she was awarded ANZSLA’s highest honour, the Contribution to Sports Law and Sport Award, and is the only woman among 8 recipients.
