Australia is celebrating fantastic success in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, including in sailing, rowing and swimming.

Come and join the Q&A with Margot and hear all about what its like to compete at an elite level sporting competition. Margot has a distinguished background as an Olympian. She won a bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and a gold medal at the 1986 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in rowing. In 2015, Margot became a Member of the Order of Australia for her significant contribution to sports administration and governance; as an elite athlete and for her support for women’s sport. In 2011, she was awarded ANZSLA’s highest honour, the Contribution to Sports Law and Sport Award, and is the only woman among 8 recipients.

St Kilda Pier Redevelopment

Parks Victoria has advised that due to COVID lockdowns which affected tenderers and their subcontractors, the closing date for the construction tender has been extended. This means construction is likely to commence October/November and not September as originally planned.

City of Port Phillip advises the southern end of Pier Rd will be closed to vehicle traffic when construction begins.

We are working with CoPP and Parks to ensure minimal impact on RMYS, I will keep you informed as information is available.
