I thought I’d clarify what my monthly report on our General Committee meetings aims to achieve, as I’ve had a few emails from members concerned that I had not mentioned some of the things that are happening around the Squadron in previous reports.

This report is simply a summary of the key things that were discussed at the last GC meeting.

The Squadron's opening the doors for OPEN HOUSE MELBOURNE,
July 27-28
|
|
As possibly the last Art Deco Clubhouse left in Australia, RMYS are opening the doors for the Open House Melbourne Event on the weekend of 27-28 July.
|
|
We will be offering escorted tours through the clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday between 10am - 3pm
|
|
Volunteers are needed as tour guides. Briefing, training and notes will be provided.
|
|

Your Supportive Club
|

How do we create a supportive club for every week, for members who hit a rough patch and need a bit of help?
|
|
The MSC would love to hear your ideas about how to improve our support for all our members.

Racing Report - Week Ending 30 June 2019
|
|
On Wednesday race 4 of the Morse Air Systems Midweek Mariners Series II, the Doctors of Northcote Winter Spinnaker Series II (AMS & IRC) and the Overnewton Trophy Winter Spinnaker Series II (PHS) were held in 7-12 knot northerlies. Heavily Discounted / Free Sail Training Courses for Females

There are some great courses coming up at the end of June with discounts for women in sailing. As a result of the Change Our Game Victorian Government grant these courses have been heavily discounted or are free to females.
|
Courses include;
1. All Female Only Club Race Officer Course
2. Trailer Reversing with Confidence Course
3. Safety Boat Operator Course
4. Sailing Coach Course

Hero HQ are coming back again to run a first aid course for RMYS members and volunteers. It's a long way out, but this way you can put it in your diaries and plan for the event.
