Opening Day 5 December
The RMYS summer season will be officially opened Saturday 5 December, yes a bit later than normal however what is normal these days!

There will be a sailpast, most likely followed by a short race. Onshore activities will be dependent on COVID restrictions and the weather, however we will certainly celebrate the new season and celebrate being back on the water.

Please save the date, we will advise details over the next couple of weeks.

It seems it will be some time before we can hold a members meeting at the clubhouse, so a meeting will be conducted by Webinar on
This will be in the usual format with reports from the Commodore, Treasurer and Club captain and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss any club matter.
You will receive an email closer to the meeting with a registration link.

Saturday 23rd to Tuesday 26th January 2021
With the cancellation of Geelong’s Festival of Sails, representatives from Member Services Committee and the Sailing Committee have joined forces to create an Australia Day Weekend full of fun activities to celebrate being back on the water!
This will be an inclusive weekend of events involving multiple clubs from around the Bay. With open invitations to keel boats, dinghies, multihulls, motorboats and more, for sailors, their families and friends of all skill levels. There will be something for everyone!
Activities will be happening all weekend for you to choose from both on and off water, culminating in a spectacular Sail Parade around the Bay, followed by a marina party, on Australia Day.
Stay tuned for more details of the events – but mark this in your diary! If you would like volunteer for this weekend of festivities we would love to hear from you.
