Thanking our RMYS Volunteers
Celebrating National Volunteer Week
A club is not a club without volunteers. Lately, more than ever we have been reminded of the importance of volunteers and their valuable contributions to a club. RMYS has strong volunteer numbers, and the hard work and dedication of each member significantly contributes to the overall success of RMYS.
This week is National Volunteer Week 2020, Monday 18 May – Sunday 24 May 2020 with the theme “Changing Communities. Changing Lives”.
Many clubs usually hold an event to thank and recognise their volunteers. This evening was going to be the Volunteer BBQ, but in light of the current situation this is not possible. We would still like to say thank you to each and everyone of you for all your hard work.
We would also like to say a big thank you to all the Members who have been looking out for other vessels when visiting and checking on their own vessel in the Marina or on Moorings (you know – and we know – who you are!) and thank you to all the following members who continually dedicate their time to provide ongoing support to the workings of the club. They have provided ideas, services, inspiration and tips, and a special shout out to all those help to keep things running.
