Keelboat:
A perfect forecast was the order of the day for keelboat training held this weekend (well Sunday was).

Saturday was a bit windy but we managed to complete the 2nd day of the Crew course and as such the 4 on that team all now have their Start Crewing Certificates.

Sunday had 3 boats on the water with the first run for the new addition to the fleet GEORGIA which got a rave review from crew and Instructor. Out of the 3 boats, 2 were completing day 2 and as such 5 completed the crew and 1 the helm courses.

Overall this weekend saw 10 new graduates to RMSTA, many of whom are now signing up as members.

This coming weekend we have the 3 keelboats going out again and the start of our 2nd Adult dinghy training.

December is full and places for January are very limited.

Tackers:
School Holidays, we have a December and January program in the calendar, dates are on the website and bookings are now open use this LINK. This will be a 4-day program, 9am – 3pm each day and ideal for all levels of sailing with a Tacker’s certificate at the end. The emphasis is on having fun on the water.

As mentioned in other posts, Keelboat instructors on the bay are limited. We are putting the call out to any club member who has the suitable sailing experience to consider getting your keelboat instructor ticket and then helping RMSTA teach these programs.
