Well, it looks like we finally see the light at the end of a very long tunnel.
Based on the COVID road map and pending final approval from Australian Sailing we are looking at resuming training as of the 31st of October.
At this stage it will be the Keel Boat program that will start with all training taking place outside. No indoor training will be allowed until further notice.
This means we are busy rescheduling courses that had to be cancelled, with these new dates being sent out to the clients later this week.
New dates for late November and December/January are being planned and will be posted on the website next week.
The great news is that during the lockdown we have had a continual supply of inquires which means our first season should be a good one.
Also, we have now signed up to deliver the OutThere Program. Part of the Australian Sailing training program OutThere Sailing (OTS) has been created for 12–17-year old’s who want to try sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting. It will be a great platform to bring this age group into the club and then into the juniors. The program on offer will focus on sailing in the Pacer 7 Quest dinghies but will also introduce them to keelboats and Power Boats. Later we will look at investing in a few SUP’s to add to the overall experience. To see what it’s all about, use the link below.
For the health and safety of RMSTA clients and club members, we will require all training participants to be double vaccinated and provide proof of such on check in. Either digitally or hard copy of their vaccination certificate.
Training Membership: Remember, if you know someone keen to get into sailing then tell them about our Training Membership. 12 months of Training, Sailing, Racing and full Sailing Member benefits at the club.
