Message from Boating Coordinator 15 December

I would like to wish all members a merry Christmas and happy New Year. Thank you for all the support over the year and I look forward to 2021. Please remember to continue to read these messages to keep up to date with all RMYS Boating.

Upcoming RMYS Sailing:

16 December – Wednesday Twilight & Dinner (final race 2020)
6 January – Wednesday Twilight & Dinner Series II – 1800hrs
9 January – Doc Bennell Race (hosted by HBYC)
16 January – 2 short Aggregate Races (HBYC & RYCV to join)
23 January – Agar Wynne ( New Format See NOR and SI’s) 

Agar Wynne Race
With the cancelation of the Geelong FOS weekend, the usual Agar Wynne Race is not possible. After discussion with sailing committee it has been decided that this year we will change the format of the race but keeping it as part of the Long Distance Series. This year the race will be held in conjunction with HBYC on Saturday 23rd and the course will be Poralington return. NOR’s will be posted later this week and SI’s no later than 21st January. Keep an eye on the website. NTC and Amendment have been posted. 

NEW Twilight Start Sheets: 
In response to many members requesting a joint start sheet, Twilight Series II has been reconfigured. There is now one race series setup with two divisions (Div 1 = Spinnakers & Div 2 = Non Spinnaker). The series is call 
Summer Twilight Block II . From here you will be able to print of a start sheet . Please remember finalised starts time will be at 1500 on race day

Wednesday: A fleet of 40 had a great sail on a perfect evening, a steady 15 knts meant that all boats got around in a good time and back for dinner.

Saturday: The International Cup was run as our first on water start. Only 16 boats hit the course this year. A perfect day of 15knts and smooth seas provided the best sailing one could hope for . The silver ware went to
