Sunday 20th: Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy The light wind was not really what was wanted for a day racing, but we got a start, and the wind built to about 7 – knots which meant it was a pleasant sail that suited the lighter boats. 17 boats were in this year’s fleet with a good mix across the Diviosns (Div 1 _ All-female Crew, Div 2 – Mix crew with female in key roles, and Div 3 – Female Helm). A great team effort from Phoebe Pearce to lead her team to a clear victory around the course, taking and holding a commanding lead. Taking out first place for PHS, AMS, and line honors. The Goldsmith family once again did a great job organising the presentation and we are now looking forward to next season FULL RESULTS
Sat & Sun: Classic Cup Regatta Out of the 18 boats that took to the water 6 were from RMYS. ( Acrospire III, Boambillee III, Ettrick, Avian, Dingo and Akala) It was fabulous to see them passing in front of RMYS in the good wind on Saturday as a spectacular sight for the Harbour room as we celebrated the Cactus Cup. All RMYS boats presented well on the water with special mention to Acropspire III taking out 1st place in both races on Saturday.
