Festival of Sails: For all competitors, a skippers pack with backstay flags and wrist bands will be available for collection from the RMYS reception from tomorrow (19/01/2022)
 
Agar Wynne Trophy Race: The return race from Geelong is on 26/01/22. If you have entered the Long Distance series you will automatically be entered in the race. If you only want to enter the race please use the below link. 
Moonlight Flit: Race 2 of this series is calendered for 11th Feb. Previous races have struggled to get numbers. To date, we have 6 boats entered in the series but not enough committed on the day. As this is a big ask of our volunteers to come down late we need a commitment to race by Tuesday 8th. For the race to go ahead we will need at least 4 boats. If you are a boat that has or will to get Safety Cat 5N  and have not yet entered please do so with the below link.

Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy: This annual event has a new date. This will now be run on the 20th of February. Full details can be found at  https://www.rmys.com.au/jennifer-goldsmith-2022/

Volunteers needed:
2022 has a very busy program. We need members to help with running races both on the water and in the tower. If you are able to help please contact Colin at boating@rmys.com.au
 
Race Officer Training: For all Current race officers and volunteers who are keen to become Race Officers. We are very light on those that can run on water races. We are looking to grow our team and would like an idea of who might be interested in learning. We have a great opportunity during the 2 short aggregate races to learn from the current team, both on the committee boat and also on the mark boats. Please contact Colin to discuss at boating@rmys.com.au

Saturday 29th: 2 short Aggregates – ON WATER. Multiple positions for mark laying boats and start boat. Be at the club at 11.30 am
February
Saturday 19th: Cactus Cup – TOWER
Wednesday 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd: Twilight Series II races – TOWER: Be at the club 5 pm
Saturday 26th: Doc Bennell: TOWER: Be at the club 12 noon
