This weekend, the juniors once again took to the water for training. Under the watchful eye of Patrick Walby and Ron Brown, the teams were taken through race skills and some had one on one training. With the Stonehaven cup coming up soon, the group is fully focused on bringing the cup home again, so, training is tough but still a lot of fun. The final teams won’t be announced until much closer to the date so all members are putting in everything they have to gain their spot.

In other news with RMYS taking over the running of RMSTA, the Junior Squad will benefit greatly. Not only will there be better integration from the dinghy training students with the Quest race group, but we have also added 2 Quests to the fleet which will be available for use in the next few weeks. They will also have access to the Pacers (when not being used for RMSTA Training).

This means we are on a major recruitment drive. If you know anyone who has children between the ages of 11–18 years that are currently sailing and looking for their next exciting challenge, then get them to contact Colin at boating@rmys.com.au.
