Discover Sailing Day at RMYS
Taking members of the public for a sail is still a big part of the day. This year there will be lots more to involve families, potential junior sailors and social members. It’s a great day for our club to welcome locals and members of the public and take them for a sail and explore our building and appreciate its history and charm.
More information for members and staff will be shortly. In the meantime feel free to share with work collegues, community groups, family and friends.
Opening Day 2019
Proceedings commenced with Vice Commodore Greg Marino introducing a smoking ceremony in Catani Gardens conducted by William Pepper from the Boon Wurrung Foundation. This was a first for RMYS and for most of those who attended and participated, everyone agreed it was an interesting and enriching experience.
75 people then went upstairs to the Harbour Room to enjoy a magnificent two course lunch and important formalities. Commodore Charles Meredith presented Kristen Buckland with Club Member of the Year. This recognised Kristen’s outstanding effort in leading….
