Please welcome a new member to the club, Brian Smith, and his beautiful cat Medosa. Below is some history of the boat, provided by Brian.

Medosa is a 10.3m Wilderness catamaran, by designer Jeff Schionning, and built in 2007. Medosa is made of duracore with an initial build weight of 3200kg, has a draft of 0.4m when the centreboards are up, and has kick up rudders so that it can be run up on a beach. She has an Allyacht 13.5m height mast, a single 20HP Tohatsu long leg fuel injected outboard, and carbon sails by Quantum. Inside there is a full width saloon with 1.9m headroom, a starboard side galley, 2 double and one single berths, and separate bathroom. Medosa has sailed SA waters including Adelaide to Port Lincoln races, but is also a comfortable sort of boat for non-sailor visitors to come along and enjoy.

Medosa departed the CYCSA in Adelaide, on 22/1/21, dodged cray pot lines through the nights, at times accompanied by penguins, and entered The Rip at slack tide 5 days later on the morning of 27/1/21.

Looking forward to exploring Port Phillip Bay, some racing, meeting local members, and sharing a sail.
