SAILING RESULTS
The J.H.McDonald race 3 was sailed last Saturday in delightful conditions.

Yesterday was a delightful day but no wind so the RO had no option to abandon the race after the start.

Best start award to Matrix - 3 seconds.

CRUISING GROUP - DINNER @ DOCKLANDS
The cruising group from RMYS had an overnighter at Waterfront City in Docklands on Saturday night. The five yachts in attendance (La Chivetta, Mrs Overnewton, Trade Wind, Beyond Outrageous and Mandala) cruised across independently. The theme of the evening was a progressive dinner and up to 30 people feasted furiously from boat to boat.

Boat Handling & Licencing Powerboat Course @ RMYS - Thursday 1st September
Need to gain more confidence in boat handling and/or need a boat licence? The Training Academy is conducting a Yachting Australia National Powerboat Handlers course at RMYS in September,2011.This comprehensive boating course (previously known as the TL3) is conducted on 3 x Thurs evenings and one Sunday onwater session. CLUB MEMBER OF THE YEAR- your nominations called for by Monday 18th July
RMYS survives based on the contributions of our many club members.

Each year we identify a member who has made a significant contribution to RMYS to be awarded the JW Crosbie Trophy for Club Member of the Year, which will be presented at the Season Opening Day on the 8th October.

Nominations are made by members in appreciation of the special efforts made by an individual in pursuing the aims and objectives of RMYS and building a better Squadron for all of us to enjoy.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - Saturday 30th July @1100hrs
The 2011 Annual General Meeting will be held in the Harbour Room on July 30th at 1100.

All relevant forms & reports - Annual Report 2011, Notice of Meeting, 2010 AGM Minutes, General Committee Nomination Form, Proxy Voting Form and General Committee Nomination Detail Form can be downloaded from the RMYS web site or by clicking on the links below, this also includes the Club Member of the Year nomination form.

A proposed Flag Officer and other members of the Committee standing for election must be nominated in writing by another Senior Member and seconded in writing by another Senior Member. All Senior Voting Members must be Financial in order to vote on the 30th July 2011.
