I am please to report that nothing was shut down however we do have some improvements to make by May 8.
Key requirements are:
Winch House - Full cage required around slipway winch plus rail surrounding winch pit.
Tractor - Substantial repairs required. The seat mounts and footrests are rusted and must be replaced and a seat belt installed. The tyres must be replaced
External power points – individual RCDs to be installed
Test and Tag – all electrical leads, tools , equipment to be tested and tagged
All ladders, props, straps, aluminium planks etc must be certified by a qualified person as in satisfactory condition
Cradles - must be certified by an appropriate engineer as being suitable and rated for capacity.
“Slipping, tripping or falling” hazards”. – eliminating the slip, trip and fall possibilities was a constant theme. Anything manually lifted such as cradle beams, props etc to have clear surrounding area
RMSTA mezzanine – the roof area over the office and training room to have a rail and gate installed
RMSTA shed – general housekeeping and tidiness to be improved.
Yard access – the working area of the yard to be clearly marked and identified. Access will be restricted to those who have received relevant induction and have specific reason and authority to enter.
