You can now find the Summer NOR, as well as Summer and Twilight Entry at the RMYS website.
Don’t forget to make sure the office has a copy of your:
- Current Insurance Certificate
- Safety Category Declaration for 2014-15 Season
- Current AMS Certificate
- Current IRC Certificate
Also on the website is a link to the Club Marine Series website, where you will find the NOR and Race Entry. Please see the below note from the Sailing Committee if you would like to enter in the Club Marine Series this year.
As racing boat owners will be aware, RMYS boats are not charged a fee for entering RMYS races and the Club Marine Range Series. Instead, a sailing safety fee is levied from appropriate membership classes and is, currently, set at $57. The sailing safety fee seeks to apportion the cost of racing equally to all appropriate membership classes.
When entering an RMYS boat in an RMYS race or in the Club Marine Range Series, please be aware that:
- There is no significant financial overhead for members entering RMYS races and then choosing not to race, but the required RMYS resources are considered based on the number of entries; and
- For the Club Marine Range Series, RMYS pays the relevant entry fee for any RMYS entered boat to the organisers, even if that boat does not take part in racing.
The Sailing Committee kindly request that these points are considered when members decide to enter any series or race. If there are significant numbers of boats that enter races and then do not take part, without apparent reason, this may prejudice either the amount that the sailing safety fee is set at or the current system of not charging for racing.
