Well the first Squadron Sunday was a very well attended event! It was indeed a day of Sailing, Sustenance and Song.
Five boats enjoyed some crisp winter sailing in a fresh north westerly breeze. Some Social members came along for the ride and even got to helm while the crew worked the sails. And some very junior sailors had a great day out on Spirit V.
In terms of results Cloud Ten took line honours as well as winning the draw of the Skippers Sparkling.
Many thanks to our Tower Crew of Dave Croke ,Ian Lodewyckx and Michael Rigato for making the race possible. A big thank you also to Jack Setton for his assistance with handicapping.
And after lunch, some long and rambling chats ensued. In all a great day had by all!
Remember to mark Sunday 30th July in your diary for another day of Sailing, Sustenance and Song. There will be a short race, comforting food and David to entertain us.
Don’t worry too much if you forget because there will be reminders beforehand.
