Well, RMYS Squadron Sunday No. 2 was a great success!! The Harbour Room was booked out and buzzing.
The sailing was very pleasant. Eight boats came out to play in the relaxed race. The breeze was between 10kn and 22kn. Line honours in the race were taken by young Alexandra Reed on the helm of Spirit V! Second was Charlotte with Ross Flood, and third was Ayeesha with Mike Wren at the helm. Thanks to the Tower volunteers Dave Croke, Andrew Gluth, Alex Simopoulos, Doug Whitby and Tony Lukeman.
Nearly 80 people enjoyed the Club Captain's Roast of lamb and pork, and all enjoyed the accompaniment provided by Dave L'Huiller. We had all sorts of members, boat owners, Sailing members, Social members, and visitors. We also had some Social members and visitors who came along for a sail. Everyone had a good time!
Next Squadron Sunday will be bigger and better, so don’t forget to book early to avoid disappointment! Watch your eBreeze for details.
Keep the date free - Sunday 27th August. There will be more Sailing, Sustenance and Song (and a Sparkling Skippers draw!).
Perhaps you could consider an early Fathers Day celebration?
