Big Bay Challenge & Sea Pilots
Friday 17th February saw the start of the Big Bay Challenge with only 4 RMYS boats taking part, Arcadia, Weekend Option, Take Five & Sea Eagle. Reports have come back that it was a pleasant enough evening with wind for the whole night.
Arcadia completed the course in the shortest elapsed time of 13 hrs 6 mins 7 secs, but was beaten on handicap by Blunderbuss from HBYC.
The final results are:
1st: Arcadia (P Davison), 2nd Weekend Option, 3rd Take Five, and unfortunately Sea Eagle did not finish.
There was also a short Sea Pilots race on Saturday, Espresso (S Thompson) was the only RMYS boat to take part, they placed 4th in PHS, and 4th in AMS.
Val Hodge Trophy (PPWCS)
RMYS had 4 boats competing on Sunday in race 1 of the PPWCS, strong winds almost saw the race get cancelled but it take a lot to stop our women.
PHS: 1st Salamander III (M Jones), 6th Tigris (J Fielding), 8th Remedy (N Huels)
AMS: 1st Salamander III (M Jones), 5th Remedy (N Huels)
IRC: 1st Salamander III (M Jones),
