The day will begin at 8.30 am at Seaworks, 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown, with a bacon and egg roll. The ship will then depart Williamstown for a day on Port Phillip Bay and return to Williamstown about 4.30 pm.
Tenacious was built by 1,500 mixed physical ability volunteers and includes special features not found on other ships (including wheelchair lifts, a speaking compass, and a joystick to enable everyone to helm the ship) which make her fully accessible and fully inclusive for everyone on-board.
During the day you can get to try your hand at helming the ship, climbing the mast (weather permitting) and setting the sails and experience the views of Melbourne from the water. You will also get the opportunity to enjoy freshly cooked food straight from the galley including morning tea, a buffet lunch and plenty of freshly made cakes and biscuits.
Instead of the cost of a full day sail at $250, Victorian Sailors are able to sail for $100, which includes all costs of the day sail, crew and all food.
We are keen that people from your Sailability programs/volunteers attend first but also now happy to open this up to others.
You will need to register by close of business on 5pm on Wednesday 16 November by going to the following link and inserting Sail Vic in the promo code box to get the discounted price.
