Racing Report - 6 & 9 July

Wednesday 6 July

Fourteen boats braved the 13-18 knot southerly for the Morse Air Systems Midweek Mariners Pursuit race and the Doctors of Northcote Spinnaker race. 

Revenge took out the pursuit race, with Matrix finishing second. There were not enough starters for a third place. Revenge also won the Best Start on 10 seconds and the Half Tonne Challenge. 

In the spinnaker series, Matador received Line Honours, as well as first place on IRC and third on AMS. Xit Strategy was the winner on PHS and AMS. Red Dog took out second on AMS and third on PHS, and Sunshine filled the gap to be second on PHS.

Thanks to Ian Guyett and Selwyn Stokes for running the day's racing. Tara Hoffman, our regular volunteer, was off having her beautiful baby Liliane a little bit early! Congratulations to Tara and her family. 

Saturday 9 July

JH McDonald Series racing was unfortunately cancelled (again) due to a lack of wind. Difficult to believe on a day like today! Look out for a resail day on 27 August for one of the missed pursuits...
