The Troubleshooters LA Nangle, Adventureware Terry Hill AMS and the Horizon Sails Spinnaker Series II kicked off with a blustery race with winds between 24-30 knots from the West-Southwest.
Myaura and Sea Eagle were scored OCS in the pursuit race and Xit Strategy managed a return.
First place for the LA Nangle and best start were claimed by Bushido, with 13 seconds for the best start.
The Banks Group Elapsed time award was presented to 11th place, as there were not enough competitors to award to 13th. Congratulations Astarte.
The Mountain Goat of the Day went to Eureka for getting a cracking start, but thinking they were OCS, so they turned around.
AMS for the Spinnaker Series went to Vagrant. There were not enough starters to award IRC. PHS went to Eureka.
RYCV and HBYC came across and joined us for the Dick Lean Trophy (Race 3 of the Charles Marshall Series) on Saturday in 10-20 knot east-southeasterlies.
Le Cascadeur (HBYC) took out 1st place on AMS, Moneypenny (RYCV) won IRC and Bushido took out the Dick Lean Trophy by winning on PHS.
Don’t forget that there is no club racing this Saturday, due to the Festival of Sails. We will be holding the Agar Wynne Trophy (Geelong to St Kilda) on Monday 26th January. Please don’t forget to enter (there will be no late entries as I will be at Geelong, not in the office). Entry, NOR and SIs can be found on the Special Entry page on the website.
