Wednesday 10 August
Race 10 (the final) of the Midweek Mariners and the Doctors of Northcote Series II got under way last week in a fresh 20-30 knot NNW.
Tony Weeks with Slice of Heaven crossed the line first in the Pursuit race, followed by Revenge and then Astarte.
The clear winner, by 10 points, for the Morse Air Systems Series went to Revenge - Richard O’Beirne. Second in the series was Sea Eagle, and third was Laafin.
In the Doctors of Northcote Spinnaker Series II, Race 10 on PHS was won by Seaya (Jim Holroyd), with Vagrant in second and Remedy in third.
On AMS, David Connolly (Vagrant) was first, followed by Remedy and then Seaya.
On IRC there were only two starters, and therefore no result.
The Doctors of Northcote Midweek Mariners Series II overall prize went to the PHS winners, Matador – Murray McCutcheon. Second in the series was Red Dog followed by Vagrant.
On AMS, the series winners were Vagrant (David Connolly) followed by Matador and then Red Dog.
Again there were not enough results for an IRC series prize.
The Best Start of the day was won by Revenge (Richard O’Beirne) on 1 second.
Big thanks to our race management team of Ian Guyett, Selwyn Stokes, Brandon Phillips, Andrew Gluth and Bernadette Hosking.

In the first race, Christine finished third on PHS, fourth on AMS and fourth on IRC, while Arcadia was eighth on PHS and seventh on AMS. Christine took out first place in the second race on PHS, and finished third on AMS and second on IRC. Arcadia placed fifth on PHS and sixth on AMS.
