Since June 2015 the Squadron has spent more than $7700 buying new and upgrading existing marina trolleys for use by members.
Unfortunately, they keep ‘disappearing’. We are currently missing one of the new aluminium frame trolleys, and two of the plastic twin-wheel trolleys with stainless steel handles. This is nearly $2000 worth of equipment that has gone missing in six weeks.
It is likely that these trolleys lie somewhere under the marina.
To hopefully minimise more losses, we ask that members adopt the following rules regarding trolley usage:
- Never tie up the float lines (unless using the line to secure the trolley to the marina).
- Trolleys should be returned to the gate area after unloading at your vessel. Trolleys are not to be left on marina arms or fingers.
- Trolleys must be inverted, or secured by their float lines to the bike racks at the arm gate.
- If you see a trolley left unsecured on a finger, please take it to the arm gate and secure it. This will help keep all trolleys available for all members.
If you have any questions, please contact Damien.
