A beautiful day greeted the 25 boats competing in the Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy, and the female skippers and their crews provided some excellent racing to watch after a tight start.
Congratulations to RMYS member Claire Scanlon and her crew aboard Silhouette for winning the trophy. SYC's Stephanie Strong on Frenzy placed second and RBYC's Vanessa Twigg on Serious Yahoo was third. Tracey Baldwin's Audacious took out the Line Honours prize.
Thank you to Amanda Wakeham, Terry Parker, and Andrew Gluth for conducting the race. And of course a big thank you to the Goldsmith family for their amazing support of this event; the prizes were fabulous as always, and there was a bottle of wine provided for each skipper.
The Women and Girls in Sailing Committee has written an excellent article on the Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy and the Port Phillip Women's Championship Series so far. There is more information about RBYC's BLiSS Regatta, to be held on 30 April and 1 May 2016, and also the PPWCS series results. Read it here.
