The Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series kicked off with the RMYS Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy, sponsored by the Goldsmith Family. Entry fees (including late fees) will be donated to Melanoma Research in memory of Jennifer Goldsmith.
The fleet had 26 starters representing RMYS, SYC, RYCV, HBYC and RBYC. The winds started off light, but eventually filled in.
The Jennifer Goldsmith Trophy was awarded to Paulina Matilla, who skippered Bruschetta VI from SYC.
1st Place on AMS was Hyperactive (SYC) skippered by Kirsty Harris
1st Place on IRC and Line Honours were presented to Ellipse (RMYS) skippered by Gretchen Mohan.
Over 110 people attended the lunch and presentations after the race.
Thank you to the volunteers (Amanda Wakeham, Terry Parker and Tom Ely) who ran the tower for the race.
