The swing mooring tender “Uan Me” has been withdrawn from service, and replaced with “Lazarus”.
“Uan Me” was developing too many leaks to maintain, and was also considered dangerous by many users due to its instability.
“Lazarus” is a twin hulled fibreglass tender that was resurrected from the bottom of the marina (hence the name), the re-glassed, restored, and re-painted – all by Steve Thompson (“Espresso”). Members who use the two powered tenders to access their boats on the swing moorings will notice the improvement. Thanks Steve!
“Lazarus” will accommodate 4 persons (same as “Uan Me”)
This means that we are now looking to dispose of “Uan Me”. It does have some leaks (which are repairable, but we didn’t want to take the risk and “Lazarus” is a much more stable and safe vessel), or it could be used as a sandpit or garden bed??? If you are interested, please contact Damien.
