With the support of Victoria State Government and City of Port Phillip the St Kilda Triangle was selected for the 2018 competition. The competition jury assessed 250 entries submitted by local teams and others from the world over. First prize of the LAGI 2018 competition announced 11 October was awarded to a Melbourne consortium organised by NH Architecture for its concept titled Light Up.
CoPP will be displaying the 25 shortlisted entries of the 2018 competition in St Kilda. We are very excited to be installing a pop up gallery exhibition in the Acland Street Plaza alongside 9 days of workshop programming, named Art is Power. We are hosting a public vote for best designs from the Land Art Generator Initiative - Melbourne 2018 competition. The designs and concepts will be displayed from 19 - 28 October 2018.
Art is Power is a series of workshops, children’s activities, and talks for all ages focusing on the ability that art and design have in fostering creative, innovative, renewable energy solutions. Art can give us the motivation to adapt our own practices to more sustainable ones, and give us the push to make changes in our own home and environments.
