Our Ops Manager is not only good around boats but he’s an ace on the golf course, winning both the longest drive and closest to the pin as well as being in the winning team.
We had three groups playing and all came in within three strokes of each other in the end.
One of our players had a big night out the night before after celebrating his 50th and since he hadn’t gone to bed, couldn’t play which left us with one team of three players, Harry Leggett, Heath McGill and Damien who came in as winners by one stroke.
I don’t think they could have won if it hadn’t been for the esky of beers they drank whilst playing.
Two strokes only separated the other team of Pete and Sue Woollard, Rick Matthews and Brenda Driscoll.
Brenda Driscoll (partner of Mick Culhane) took out nearest the pin and Sabina won the longest drive.
Numbers were down a bit this year but a few people were away or had other things happening. It’s a great day out for people of all golfing abilities and we hope to see our numbers back up next year. Many thanks go to Trouble Shooters for providing prizes.
