Getting to RMYS
Via public transport
RMYS can easily be accessed via Melbourne's excellent public transport system.
From the City - take Tram Route 16 or 96 to St. Kilda (Stop 135) at the western end of Fitzroy St.,where it meets Jacka Boulevard. The Squadron is located 200 metres west across Jacka Boulevard, towards the beach.Please cross safely via the pedestrian crossing.See Melbourne Tram Map
Via bicycle
Take the coastal bike path from Port Melbourne towards Elwood which parallels Beaconsfield Parade. Turn right at Cowderoy Street onto Pier Road which passes at the back of the Squadron. Proceed 1.5 km south along Pier Road to where the Clubhouse and boat yard are visible. See the Bicycle Victoria website for local bike routes.
Via car
From the South. Head north, as if to Port Melbourne along Marine Parade in Elwood, which becomes Jacka Boulevard opposite Luna Park in St.Kilda. Continue 500 metres north and turn left immediately after the St. Kilda Sea Baths Complex along Pier Road, which has authorised traffic access restrictions (ignore).Continue behind the Squadron where the yachts are located in the boat yard.Parking is available in Pier Road.
From the North and the City: Head south along Beaconsfield Parade, as if heading to Elwood. At Cowderoy Street, turn right (west) and cross the median strip and continue across into Pier Road. Head south 1.5 km along Pier Road to the Squadron continuing through the authorised traffic access restriction signs to the parking behind the Squadron in Pier Road.
From the East - St. Kilda Road and Punt Road. Head west along Fitzroy Street into the St.Kilda shopping precinct over Grey Street to where Fitzroy Street swings south to become The Upper Esplanade and meets Jacka Boulevard. The Squadron building is 150 metres west on the other side of road. To access you must proceed 250 metres south along Jacka Boulevard towards Elwood to where a U turn lane is located. You can U turn to the north and then left into Pier Road after the St.Kilda Sea Baths Complex, continuing through the authorised traffic access restriction signs to the parking behind the Squadron in Pier Road..
Parking
Car parking is controlled by the City of Port Phillip and available in Pier Road or in front of the Squadron on Jacka Boulevard after 9 am.weekdays.Please bring coins for the parking metre's. Pay as you go parking is available in the St.Kilda Sea Baths Parking Station (3 levels).
