I recently moved to Melbourne from the US for a PhD, and I am interested in racing some sailboats. I raced on a club sailing team in college, and since have raced on J24s, Lightnings, and Santana 20s, as well as bigger sailboats. I typically like to trim spinnaker or be foredeck but can do most any job on a boat. I would love to find a consistent boat to crew on for the winter series and beyond.

Nicolas Le Den (posted 11/5/16)
Hi, my name is Nicolas, 26 years old, from France. I'm travelling around Australia and I recently put my backpack in Melbourne. Sea lover, I'm looking for sailing occasionally in this area or to become a crew and volunteer on a sailing boat trip. My first wish is to sail to Tasmania, but I'm open to different ideas and destinations.
I used to sail in my area in France on the Mediterranean Sea. During many years I've sailed on my grandparent’s sailboat (29ft) and on a friend’s sail boat (24ft).
During three years I was assistant organiser of a yacht race in my city (Les Voiles d’Antibes). I'm very keen to learn more about sailing and share a trip adventure. Tall and physically fit, I'm reliable and motivated.
Feel free to call me, I'm looking forward to sailing! Thanks.

Canadian chick, 22, I'm new to Melbourne having just spent the summer season working on a yacht in the Whitsundays! I have my Yachtmaster offshore and primarily have been sailing 38ft+ keelboats and cats. Very little racing experience but would love to change that. I'm also pretty handy with a sander and varnish so if you're looking for a hand in dry dock shoot me a text!

My name is Danilo, it's a Brazilian name so you can call me Dan. I have some experiences in some small vessels and in some water sports. Some experience in docking and making knots, I used to work in a Marina. Love sailing and kitesurfing.
If you need a friendly and handy crew member, please give me a call. I would love to sail in Melbourne. Live in St Kilda.

I have sailed from the age of 9 and have always wanted to get into keelboat sailing. I am originally from New Zealand and spent all my younger years either sailing or dreaming about sailing. I would love the opportunity to have a crack.
Hopefully hear from you soon!

Looking to join any crew available. I have done one long sail, 6 weeks, from Svalbard 89 degrees North, to the south of Norway. Used to many days bad weather, open ocean adventure sailing.
I want to learn more theory and practice and guessing racing is good for that! But I just want to get into the sailing world in Melbourne. Living here permanently now and would love to spend time on the water and keen to learn.

I'm visiting Melbourne in November 2016 and hoping to manage a sail or two while I'm there. I race regularly in the UK - mostly inshore races, but also participate in some offshore. I can undertake any role on the boat but will usually be found doing jib and spinnaker trim in the cockpit.
Looking forward to getting some warm weather sailing in rather than the freezing cold I'm used to.

Alison & Simon Gent (posted 15/3/16)
We are a couple, Alison 27 years and Simon 30 years. Two French cyclists! We have cycled all over NZ and now we are cycling Australia. Next we will cross Asia to return home slowly. But, perhaps you can save our cyclists' muscles and share your experiences and boat with us. We are quick learners and used to living with people. And the little bonus; we love cooking!
We want to; become crew members, sail the east coast, go to Darwin, sail to Indonesia, keep learning, have fun, share adventures. Any of these possibilities would be interesting.
Experience: Alison - crossed Atlantic (Jan 2015), Simon - no experience.

I'm a 22 year-old graduate student from Germany and I'm currently travelling in Australia.
My dream for the moment would be to become a crew and volunteer on a yacht or sailing boat. So if you need someone, helping to deliver a boat from Melbourne to Western Australia, preferably Perth, that would be awesome.
I'm not the the most experienced sailor but last year, I went on a sailing trip on a 15 meters yacht in Germany for one week and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot already. I also have basic knowledge about weather and wind conditions because I took several courses in wind surfing.
Please call me 0401555040 if there's any boats searching for a willing worker.
