In my 1st year as Commodore of Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS), it is my great pleasure to welcome all competitors, sponsors, volunteers and supporters to the 22nd year of the Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta (AWKR).

The Regatta is competitive with a mixture of fun and education whilst developing friendships. The Regatta is acknowledged as the most successful Regatta held in Victoria specifically for women competitors.

The Squadron is located in cosmopolitan St Kilda on the edge of the Melbourne business district. Enjoy the restaurants, coffee and night life of St Kilda, the welcoming atmosphere and friendliness of RMYS and the camaraderie and competitive spirit of the Regatta. The Squadron provides not only a welcoming venue but great facilities for the Regatta and access to the brilliant sailing conditions of Port Phillip.

We trust that you will enjoy your time at RMYS and your participation in the 22nd AWKR. We thank you for your continued support of women in sailing and your support of the Regatta.
